To try and understand what small businesses go through when starting up, I decided to go around lincoln and talk to some of the staff at Guitar Parlour. The shop opened around 18 months ago making them reasonably new within the lincoln area.
I spoke to Matt and I asked him a few simple things about starting businesses and runningĀ one.
What was the hardest thing about starting up the business?
- Getting taken seriously as a businesses. It takes time for customers to trust you, especially with high ticket items.
Since you opened what has changed about how the shop runs.
- What the responsibilities of staff are. How we treat our customers. Little things that change the overall experience for the customer.
Even though I didn’t get to talk to Matt for very long both these answers were very interesting. I can understand and compare these to how we have found running our proto-company this project.
